Called my insurance company today to get the Mazda covered. Cost to insure this fine piece of automotive engineering is $476/year. Here is the best part. because I already have a vehicle insured with them when I add on a second vehicle it gives me a $350 discount on my policy so my insurance payment works out to only be $10 more per month than before. FUCKING SWEET!!!

If only my insurance was that much, I'm on my moms policy, who has a flawless driving record, the only thing I remember was a $15 parking ticket when we were at a mall and forgot to go add more money to the parking meter after it ran out, My insurance (17 year old boy and car, on the same policy as my moms car and our house) is $500 a year.

It gets better, I'm 30 years old now with a semi clean driving record.25 years old is the sweet spot when you insurance rates plummet(if you have a clean driving record) when I was 17 I had a $400 1985 Chevette and they wanted $8000 a year to insure it so I did not start driving until I was 19 once the government stepped in and put a cap on how much they can charge new drivers. Even with the new cap it was still about $200/month for liability only.

$500/year that's nothing it's only $40/month one shift at Mcdonalds covers that.
